Activities in Kasiisi
The Kasiisi Guesthouse allows you to take a closer look at Uganda. We’re passionate about the conservation of Uganda’s natural environment and the local community, so we give you the opportunity to experience both.
Set within the heart of the community in the picturesque Fort Portal region of Uganda there is an abundance of tourist and community activities for you to get involved with.
There are plenty of natural attractions for you to experience, from Chimpanzee Trekking in nearby Kibale National Park to a Big Game Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, or hiking around the spectacular Crater Lake. We’re also a short drive from Fort Portal, which has plenty of bars and restaurants for you to visit.
At the same time we give you the chance to get involved in the local community. We’re located near to Kasiisi Primary School and you have the opportunity to engage with the children by taking a reading class with them or participating in renovation projects of the school buildings.
Engage with the Community
We also run a local Community Farm and you have the chance to help collect eggs, tend to bees, harvest food and feed the pigs if you like. You can gain an insight into the traditional Ugandan way of life by taking a tour of Kasiisi Village. Finally, we can also arrange for a tour of the local tea plantations in the area, so you can understand how the tea you drink is made.
